The Masía del Marqués, known as the Casa del Sant Sepulcre, is a unique spot from which to explore the Penedès region and enjoy the area’s history, art, nature, gastronomy and vineyards. Located just over half an hour from lively Barcelona, in the town of Olèrdola in the heart of Penedès, and surrounded by its own vineyards, the Masía is the perfect base for immersing yourself in the life and culture of this fascinating historical and winegrowing region.

We’re Jose and Cristina, an architect who’s passionate about what he does and a journalist by vocation. A few years ago, we inherited this country house steeped in history and memories. Since then, we’ve put a lot of energy, effort and passion into gradually creating an idyllic place to spend a holiday, celebrate an event, host a retreat or write a book with views of a sea of vineyards.

The possibilities are endless at the Masía, which for us is a combination of both urban and rural, based on a “slow life” philosophy. You’ll see that time has a different quality here, with no clocks and no rush. Our greatest wish is that you enjoy the house and the surrounding area as much as we do.

The region —located between the sea, the mountains and the vineyards — offers a great variety of activities, and from the house you’ll be able to start out on a journey of tastes, sensations and experiences: gastronomy, leisure, architecture, art, museums, festivals… The cava routes are without doubt an unbeatable way to get to know the region’s winegrowing country, but you’ll also be captivated and surprised by Penedès’s rural life, scenery, people and traditions.
