Staying in this special and authentic place, you can’t help but feel the weight of history. The Masía is home to the only circular Romanesque chapel in the region, which dates back to the 11th century. In the 19th century, the property was home to Rius i Taulet, the historic mayor of Barcelona who promoted the 1888 Universal Exhibition and was named Marquis of Olèrdola, hence the name of the house.
The renovation
We completed the careful renovation of the Masía a few years ago, combining rural charm with all the mod cons. The house can accommodate up to 12 people.
Jose poured all his passion as an architect into the project, carrying out the work with the utmost care, paying attention to the smallest of details and mixing existing old materials with more modern ones. Thanks to this perfect combination, this historical house has been converted into a space that is both rural and urban at once.

130 m2 terrace

“As far as the rooms were concerned, we loved the airiness and open concept of each one. They are well appointed with nice mattresses. The bathrooms were comfortable and large. We really felt like royalty in this large estate! We also spent quite a bit of time in the well-appointed kitchen where we were able to prepare nice meals and eat at a long farmhouse table with birds chirping outside the windows.”

“We had a wonderful stay at the Masía de Penedès. As soon as we arrived, we were struck by what a magical place it is. The old house is surrounded by quiet vineyards. The house is very spacious and there is plenty of room for two families. The bedrooms and bathrooms are also spacious and comfortable and there’s a lovely kitchen.”
