Penedès Designation of Origin

Penedès is synonymous with good food and good wine. On the cava routes, you’ll have the chance to discover some of the famous wineries as well as smaller family-run and organic wineries. Almost all are open to visitors, and you’ll be able to learn the secrets of their cava production and do a wine tasting. There are a few good websites that offer wine tourism and activities around the wine routes, such as participating in the wine harvest by moonlight! You’ll find more information at Enoturisme Penedès, Denominació d’Origen Penedès, Carretera del Vi, Qalidès and Institut del Cava.

Good food

Good wine goes hand in hand with excellent cuisine, and the food of Penedès reflects the region’s traditional rural character. There are some very good restaurants very close to the Masía, and just a 10-minute drive away you can enjoy the rice and fish dishes of Vilanova i la Geltrú and Sitges, representing the best of Mediterranean cuisine. We’ll give you a list of our favourite restaurants in the area on arrival!

“There’s lots to visit in the surrounding area, from beaches to neighbouring villages, many of which are famous for their cava and wine”.
